Assignment to Earth

This cover was made with two stock images procured from NASA. The earth image was tilted to fit the moon's horizon, and was enlarged considerably in proportion to the moon. The moon's image was lightened from the original medium-dark browns to suggest that it is in direct sunlight.

The series-identifying blue stripe with yellow lettering was added to the top, the title and author name added to the front cover and spine. The publisher logo was also added to the spine. The back cover matter, author image, and author bio were placed on the back cover, with room allowed for the printer to add the bar code.
