Fabric of the World

Fabric of the World full cover

Again, this cover was created from stock images, but it's been more highly manipulated. The sand dunes were simply put in place. The font was chosen to resemble Arabic writing, because the setting of the book involves desert cities and a nomadic tribe.

The flame-throwing wizard was originally a young man dressed in jeans and a flannel shirt standing on a rock outcropping above a modern city. The city was removed. His sneakers were painted over to become boots. His hair was lightened from a dark brown to a reddish color. His clothing was blurred, shadowed, and replaced with the brown robes he's now wearing. The purple flames were originally blue, but were recolored to their purple shade. The rock beneath his feet was removed, and a shadow added.
